Our Editorial Standards

How we write, check and update the prayers and articles on Pray with Christ -- and how AI is used across the site.

By the Pray with Christ team · Updated

Who writes our content

Our prayers, prayer guides and articles are written by the Pray with Christ team. Some drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools. Every page is read and edited by our team before it is published, and Scripture quotations are checked against the King James Version.

Our prayer pages are not currently reviewed by a named pastor, theologian or licensed health professional. If that changes, the reviewer's name and role will appear on the page itself -- we will never show a reviewer who did not actually review it.

Scripture and prayers

Bible verses on our prayer pages are quoted word for word from the King James Version (KJV), which is in the public domain and matches the text in our Bible reader. When we explain a passage, we try to describe its setting and meaning plainly, without stretching it to say more than it does.

The prayers themselves are original to Pray with Christ. You are welcome to pray them aloud, adapt them, or share them with someone who needs them.

Our approach to faith

Our content is Christian and Bible-centered, written for people from many church backgrounds and for those still exploring faith. Where Christians differ -- for example on questions about divorce or practices such as anointing with oil -- we say so, and encourage you to talk with a pastor at your own church.

We avoid promises Scripture does not make. We do not teach that enough faith guarantees healing, that God promises wealth, or that suffering is a sign of His displeasure.

Health, safety and crisis information

Prayer pages on topics such as anxiety, depression, grief and illness offer spiritual support. They are not medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, and they do not replace a doctor, counselor or other qualified professional.

Pray with Christ is not an emergency or crisis service. Pages on sensitive topics include a reminder to contact emergency services or a crisis line when someone may be in danger, and a link to find a free helpline in your country.

How AI is used on Pray with Christ

We want you to know when you might be interacting with AI, not only when reading:

  • Prayer calls and chats: you are connected with a pastor when one is available. If none is online, an AI prayer companion answers instead.
  • Prayer Wall: some prayer requests receive a short spoken prayer that is generated by AI and read aloud in a pastor's voice.
  • Articles and prayers: some drafts are prepared with AI writing tools and then edited by our team, as described above.

Updates and corrections

Each prayer page shows the date it was last updated. We revise pages when we add new material or find something that could be clearer or more accurate.

If you notice a mistake -- a misquoted verse, an unclear explanation, or anything that could cause harm -- please tell us through our contact page and we will review it.
